Compagnes Drift farm was initially set up by the Dutch East India Company as an outpost that gave travellers a place to rest and replenish supplies. Today the farm still supplies produce to visitors wanting fresh pears, almonds, deliciously cured olives, stone-ground mill flour and wine.
